U14′s Tornadoes play Real Sports twice!

In their quest for Timperley and District Junior League honours Beechfield United U/14′s Tornados met Real Sports twice within four days in Division Four. A poor performance at home was punished as United lost 3-1 with John Ridyard scoring the consolation goal and Jack Sands-Filer getting the Man of the Match Trophy. But on Thursday evening Beechy got revenge and an improved display was rewarded with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from M-O-M John Ridyard and Callum Murphy.

U14′s Storm play Urmston twice!

The U/14′s Storm lost 7-3 away to AFC Urmston Meadowside Kestrels and the highlight of the match was a hat trick by United’s Michael Alker. When the teams met again four days later United scored twice inside the last four minutes via Alex Bushell and Christian Hancock but AFC Urmston Meadowside easily won the match 7-2. United’s Best Player was Daniel Melody.

U13′s v Monton Amatuers

Shaun Ferguson scored the only goal for the U/13′s who lost 8-1 away at Monton Amateurs. In this their penultimate fixture United’s best moments came in the second half.

U13′s girls draw with U14′s Woodbank

United’s U/13′s Girls entertained Woodbank Girls U/14′s team and recovered from 2-0 down to earn a creditable 2-2 draw following a Friendly Match. Toni Stapleton got both goals while the Player of the Match Award was shared between Megan Kenyon and Emily Johnson.

U12′s Tornadoes v Barr Hill

Kyle Leather received the Man of the Match Trophy after the U/12′s Tornados 1-0 home defeat by Barr Hill JFC.

U12′s Storm v Deans Sports

U/12′s Storm went down 2-1 at Deans Sports. During the match United produced some delightful soccer and didn’t deserve to lose the contest. Callum Murphy hit the consolation goal from the penalty spot.

U11′s seal runner’s up place

A 2-0 away win over Pendlebury United Jaguars guaranteed the U/11′s runner’s-up spot in the COSSL B Division. Despite a low-key display Beechy won the match 2-0 with goals by Callum Lockett and Man of the Match Kondi Mututa. Then United won the Supplementary Cup when a goal after only two minutes from Henry Misell was enough to earn them a 1-0 victory over North Walkden. Following a rather scrappy affair the match referee chose central defender Kondi Mututa as United’s Best Player.

U9′s Tornadoes win the cup!

There was a brilliant end to their City of Salford Soccer League season for the U/9′s Tornados who completed a a trophy winning double. Beechy added the Supplementary Cup to their Division 3 title thanks to a convincing 6-2 win in the final against Deans Sports. A hat trick by Jack Farrell in the first half gave United a 3-2 lead at the interval then in the second period Beechy dominated the match and goals from Lewis Hollingworth (2) and David Williams made sure that another piece of silverware would be on display in United’s trophy cabinet.

U8′s Tornadoes v Deans Sports

The U/8′s Tornados created some outstanding football in their away game at Deans Sports. Tom Gorton and Adam Hall shared the Man of the Match Trophy and the goalscorers were Tyler McClean, Joe Cox and George Bailey.

Busy end of season for U7′s Tornadoes

There was a busy end to the season for the U/7′s Tornados who nominated Daniel Allerton for the M-O-M Award against Deans Tigers. The goals came via Shawn Hartley and Sanders Williams. Goalscorers in the game at Barr Hill Diamonds were Kayden McCarthy, Adam Spence, Ben McAteer, Sanders Williams and M-O-M Shawn Hartley. Then Sanders and Shawn fired in the goals in the home game with Monton FC while Harry Lee collected the Player of the Match Trophy. Ben McAteer scored against Urmston Town and Billy Wadeson received the M-O-M Award.
