For those of you well up with the latest then you’ll be pleased to hear that we are going to start using the @Beechy_fc twitter account to start sending out the scores – kind of like Football Focus did back in the 70′s but with a hi-tech shine to your pc’s and smart phones, and with no sign of Bob Wilson and nylon suits.

If you’re twittered up then be sure to follow us and you’ll never miss any of the footy news from your club.

Having a 2pm kick off does have its merits as the sun today thawed the pitch sufficiently enough for our game to get the nod from the referee, Playing against a very well organised unicorn team that were undeafeated before today plus the fact we hadnt played or trained for over two weeks due to the weather . The first half saw very few  goalscoring chances due to both teams defenders having the edge over the strikers, but beechy went in front when a corner swung in from william was turned in  by unicorns defender past his goalkeeper , 1 nil at ht

The 2nd half saw beechy play some great football, time after time kyle combined with will  on the right to create chances for our strikers, it wasnt long before we scored our 2nd when will slipped a ball thru to callum van dieman whos shot was saved however luke mather followed up to score, 5 mins later wills free kick out side the box was struck against the bar and callum was quick to the follow up to smash it in the net,  some of the movement off the ball today was tremendous to see .we scored our forth and best goal when bens corner was met by luke who chipped it back in the box and callum van dieman rose to head it over the advancing keeper,  late on unicorn did score but it was only consolation as the whistle blew  ft 4-1 , this was our best team performance of the season so far and special praise go to blake ,bradley and kyle at the back and also william for a brilliant midfield/wing performance but todays motm went to callum van dieman for his overall work rate up front  he didnt give up or let his head down and was rewarded with 2 fine goals
