Beechy Girls Match Details (16/10/11 & 6/11/11)

Beechy’s Under 15s Girls team have so far had a decent season in the Bolton Bury and District Football League. The new players who joined the squad during the summer are gradually starting to display their ability on the pitch and the signs are there that the girls can repeat last season’s league and cup winning double. Cup Information (Junior and Senior Section)

Three of Beechfield United’s Junior Section team’s are involved in the Manchester FA Youth Cup on Sunday 13th November 2011. In Round 2 the Under 12s travel to Ashton-Under-Lyne to play Waterloo Juniors. At Stott Lane Salford the Under 11s Predators entertain Middleton Lads (Kick-Off 2-30pm) while the Under 16s meet Droylsden Youth Centre at Beech Farm Playing Fields at 10-30am.

In the Senior Section United’s Reserves have been drawn at home in Round 2 of the Manchester Amateur Cup. They meet local rivals Moorside Rangers (Lancashire and Cheshire Amateur League) at Salford Sports Village on Saturday 19th November 2011 (Kick-Off is 1-30pm) Seven days later the Reserves face West Didsbury Reserves in the Manchester Football League’s Open Trophy competition. (Kick-Off at SSV is 2pm)

On Saturday 19th December the First Team will play Leigh Athletic in the Murray Shield. This Round 1 tie being played at SSV will Kick-Off at 2pm)

 

Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester Football League (10/9/2011 to 15/10/2011)

Despite a below-par display Beechfield United’s 1st Team rediscovered the winning formula when they beat Hollinwood CC 4-1 away. On an old style 3G Astroturf Pitch the result was never in doubt because United dominated the match from start to finish. Mike Leach scored all four goal’s but with the chances on offer especially in the second half Beechy could easily have hit double figures.
