Season 2010/2011 was probably the most successful one in the history of Beechfield United Football Club. A total of 24 Winners & Runners-Up trophies were won by teams from the Mini-Soccer, Junior & Senior Section. Lets admire the list of silverware and congratulate the individual Team Manager’s/Assistant’s and the Players who made this marvellous achievement possible.

Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester Football League. Fair Play Winners Awards Season 2010/2011 – Division 3 Runners Up – Beechfield United Reserves.
During the first couple of weeks in August 2010 Beechfield United’s First Team continued their build up towards the new Manchester Football League season with two friendly matches. United were in action against Eccles Sunday League outfit Weaste FC and following a lively contest lost 1-0. Tim Taylor was named as Man of the Match. Then Beechy produced an awesome display that earned them a 4-1 away win over Lancashire and Cheshire League side Bedians. Goalscorers were M-O-M Dave Leach (2) Mike Leach and Trevor Walsh. The Reserves also met a Bedians team but unfortunately they suffered a 2-0 defeat. The Best Player award went to Richard Farnie. United’s Saturday Morning open-age team gave a classy performance at home to Redvales and Warthfold Metro. In a totally one-sided friendly Beechy who led 6-0 at half time eventually cruised to an emphatic 8-0 victory. Wes Pierce (hat-trick) Dean Quinn (2) Roy Owen, Stephen Evans and Ben Donohue got the goals while Chris Lucas had a superb game at the heart of the defence.
Pre-Season in the Mini-Soccer and Junior Section saw the Under 14s Girls beat Manchester City Ladies 4-2. Goals for Beechy came via Aimee Wallace (2) and Toni Stapleton (2) The Under 8s Tornados were involved in a Friendly Match with Barr Hill Diamonds. Kaden McCarthy, Josh Holker, Ben McAtee and M-O-M Leighton White got the goals.
On 4/9/2010 United’s Under 11s (9v9) Sunday team enjoyed a fabulous start in the Timperley and District Junior League. For their home game against Unicorn Athletic Whirlwinds only eight players were available but after going a goal down Beechy turned on the style and powered their way to a 10-4 victory. Taylor Share (4) Tom Battersby (3) Jack Davies, Joshua Edwards and Zach Booth scored the goals while goalkeeper Joe Parker had a great game and saved a penalty in the first half.
On the wrong end of an amazing 8-6 scoreline were the Under 14s who met Langworthy Juniors away. Man of the Match Luke Tonge (4) Jack Ryan and Remi Maxwell fired in the goals. (11/9/2010) Tito Jorge’s superbly executed overhead kick was the highlight of the Under 16s 4-1 home win over AFC Partington. Jack Marshall (2) and Turbat Emryek netted the other goals. (19/9/2010) Continuing their fine start to the season were the Under 9s Storm who won 6-0 away at Swinton Juniors. Man of the Match David Williams (2) Declan Nolan (2) Owen Hesketh and Isak Johanneson were on target. (25/9/2010) Following a 5-1 away win over Manchester Maccabi Lions the Under 9s Tornados went top of Division A in the Stax City of Salford Soccer League. Goalscorers were M-O-M Josh Mort (2) Louis Potts, Connell Griffin and George Bailey. (2/10/10) Goals by John Ridyard (hat-trick) Ben Armstrong, Louis Keegan and Man of the Match Ashley Sykes guaranteed the Under 15s a 6-2 home victory against AFC Urmston Meadowside Kestrels. Making it six successive victories were the Under 9s Hurricanes. Goals from Kayden Brierley (3) Kaydn Craven and Ben Walker earned Beechy a 5-1 win over Monton Spitfires. Tyler Davies received the Best Player Trophy. (16/10/2010) After their superb 4-1 away victory at Prestwich Marauders the Under 11s Storm held a seven point lead at the top of the North Bury Junior League’s Premier Division. On target were Jake O’Brien, Ben Sykes, Jack Davies and Tom Walker. (23/10/2010) In a Fun Competition Division 1 match the Under 7s Storm met Parkwyddn Juniors. The Beechy goals came via Sanders Williams, Riley Phythian, Billy Wadeson, Harrison Hughes and Erick Hanbury. (30/10/2010) The Under 10s Storm earned themselves a 4-2 home win over De La Salle Cobras. Sheldon Renshaw scored all four goals. (6/11/10) In the SCOSSL’s Challenge Cup the Under 11s Tornados easily beat Moorside Rangers Green 6-1. James Bones (5) and Mason Frame got the goals. (13/11/2010) Thanks to a vastly improved display and a hat-trick from Kwaka Azad the Under 12s Hurricanes beat Moorside Blue 3-2. (20/11/10)
In their first game of the new year United’s Under 13s Tornados had to work hard against Wilmslow Town before they secured a 2-1 away victory. Ryan Bevan was Man of the Match while Ben Lockett and William Holliday scored the goals. (9/1/2011) Playing for the first time in eight weeks were the Under 13s Storm who’s solid performance earned them a 1-0 away win over Barr Hill Diamonds. Callum McCarty’s superb winning goal in the first half was the highlight of the match. (15/1/2011) A brilliant all-round performance by the Under 9s Hurricanes earned them an emphatic 9-0 home win over Swinton Jnr Yellow. Goalscorers were Aaron Gartley (3) M-O-M Ross Kinsey (2) Millie Edwards (2) Tyler Davies and Kaydn Craven. (22/1/2011) Goals by Matty Daley (2) Sheldon Renshaw (2) Dylan Meredith, Alex Doyle and Lucas Morgan secured the Under 10s Storm an easy 7-1 victory over Deans Tigers. (29/1/2011)
The Under 11s Sunday team were involved in a 12 goal thriller away at NJ Wythenshawe. In an amazing match United were 4-0 down after twenty minutes but they recovered and only trailed 4-2 at half time. Beechy played some superb football in the second half and led 5-4 but NJ Wythenshawe suddenly went 6-5 up then during a thrilling end to the contest United grabbed an equaliser in the last few seconds. Man of the Match Zach Booth (2) Taylor Share, Tom Walker, Alfie Belcher and Adam Kensit scored the goals. (6/2/2011) United’s Under 16s failed to produce their best form in the home game with Urmston Town but they still had a bit more quality than their opponents and fully deserved a 4-1 victory. Brad Derbyshire gave Beechy the lead but Urmston Town equalised following a corner then Liam Parker put United back in front via a long range effort. Two goals in the second half from Alex Dryburgh who was making his debut guaranteed the win. (13/2/2011) Some bright and inventive football was played by the Under 7s Tornados in their game with De La Salle. Man of the Match Adam Rothwell and Max O’Brien scored the goals. (19/2/2011) Involved in an excellent Stax City of Salford Soccer League fixture were the Under 13s Storm who drew 1-1 at home with Swinton Juniors. It was the visitors who went ahead early in the game but Callum McCarty equalised thanks to a fine solo effort. (26/2/2011)
The Under 15s went top of the Division 3 in the Timperley and District Junior League following a comfortable 5-0 home win over Timperley Villa Warriors. The goals came via M-O-M John Ridyard (3) and Lee Dalby (2) both penalties. (6/3/2011) A brilliant display by the Under 11s Hurricanes rightfully earned them their place in the Supplementary Cup final. Twice United came back from a goal down in the semi-final against Flixton Junior Red thanks to Harry Grimshaw and Mason Gregg. After extra time it was 2-2 so the team’s faced the dreaded penalty shoot-out and Josh Finney booked Beechy’s spot in the final when he scored the winning spot-kick. (12/3/2011)
Beechy Under 14s Girls booked their place in the Chairman’s Cup final. Goals from Aimee Wallace (2) Danielle Farrand and Toni Stapleton gave United a 4-o semi-final victory over Hindley Juniors. Emily Johnson was voted Player of the Match. (3/4/2011) Some defensive errors ruined a decent display by the Under 11s Tornados. It was 2-2 at half time in the home game against Boothstown Bulls who eventually won a very entertaining contest 5-3. Mark Smith (2) and James Bones got the goals. In the Stax City of Salford Soccer League Division 2 top of the table clash the Under 10s Tornados went down 2-1 to Barr Hill Diamonds. Jack Farrell was on target with the consolation goal and Mason Taylor received the M-O-M Award. (2/4/2011)
Ben Crowther (Hat-Trick) Mason Gregg and Harry Grimshaw were on target for the Under 11s Hurricanes who won the SCOSSL’s Division C Supplementary Cup. Following a thrilling encounter with Irlam Vale Falcons the Trophy was United’s thanks to a 5-3 victory. Man of the Match was Daniel Hickey. Despite going a goal down the Under 10s Storm easily beat Flixton Junior Lions 8-1 to win the Division A Supplementary Cup to add to their Division 1 title. Goalscorers against Flixton were Sheldon Renshaw (4) Matthew Daly, Brandon Kent, Alex Doyle plus an own goal. Also completing a League and Cup double were the Under 9s Hurricanes. Ross Kinsey (3) Millie Edwards, Kayden Brierley and Arron Gartley netted the goals as Beechy lifted the Division C Supplementary Cup following their 6-0 victory over De La Salle Celtic. (9/4/2011) Guaranteed Runner’s up spot in the Timperley and District Junior League were the Under 11s Sunday team. Goals from Jack Davies (2) Tom Battersby, Jack Wyatt, Jake O’Brien, Zach Booth and Taylor Share put the seal on a 7-0 Division 1 home win against Broadheath Central Vipers. (10/4/2011)
In May 2011 Jaden Timmis (Under 9s Storm) took his first steps towards his footballing dreams after being snapped up by Premier League club Everton FC. Winton schoolboy Jaden had trained with a host of top-flight sides including Manchester City, Blackburn Rovers, Liverpool FC and his beloved Manchester United but the Beechfield United starlet was destined for Merseyside after the Toffees beat off fierce competition for his signature.Mum Kerry along with Jaden’s dad Stephen faced road trips as far afield as Newcastle as the starlet tours the North of England in the FA Premier Academy League. But the road trips are a small price to pay to watch the fledgling winger step up to the next phase of a promising career.
