Under 9′s new boy gets brace!
U9s Tornadoes played North Walkden in a friendly, with new boy, Oliver Ormerod, scoring twice.
Match report by Manager, Chris Cottrill…
Beechy started well and Ollie popped in the first with a long range shot. Walkden equalised a few minutes later with their only goal. A Scramble that should have been cleared really.
Jack Farrell got a couple and offered a penalty to Ollie (honoured to say the least as Jack is Pen King. Dont expect that every week Ollie!)
Jack is now not only scoring , but putting in a full shift aswell. Well done JF
Ollie converted although the keeper did well to even touch it as it was powered into the netting.
Mason did well in goal, blocking shots and sending us on our way.
Scott Provan and David Williams did their usual solid job in defence, with both joining in the attack more than once. Scott even hit the bar!!
Louis Wright cleared up many balls and got into the box, putting just wide. SO CLOSE.
Harry Cottrill played well and although got injured in a delicate place , perseverved and lost his marker aplenty.
Josh Reynolds distributed well and his goal drought will end soon. Keep working Josh, we need you at your best.
Lewis Hollingworth got a hat trick, right place ,right time, not a coincidence. All hard work
All in all a good game with 2 good teams.
