Beechy Under 9′s Hurricanes – 2009/2010
Well done to all the team this season – we’ve won around half the games we’ve played and only been beaten by 3 teams in the league, 2 of which won all of the games they played. For our first year I feel that this is an amazing achievement for a bunch of lads who came together at the very start of the season, with no real pre-season training or match experience.

The team developed together over the course of the year and with continued hard effort and more game time we’ll move onwards and hopefully upwards in next year’s division and try and match the success of the Tornadoes this year.
Every single lad has played their part this year – outstanding job by Dain in goals, sometimes the hardest job on the pitch. Strong defensive partnerships that are developing well from Sportsman of the Year Cameron, big Tom, and pitbull Dylan. Dynamic midfield play from Jacob. Great progress from Kenan who’s getting stuck in and has a bit of a boot on him now. Strength, power, tenacity, skill (remember, not too much though), and goals a plenty from Player of the Year, Jack. Adaptive play by Adam who does everything that’s asked of him and more – defends, distributes, passes, and scores – worthy of this year’s Manager’s Merit award. Great link-up play and some lovely finishes from determined striker and team captain, Joseph.
Lads, it’s been a pleasure to manage and coach you all this season and I look forward to us all playing some great football in the next year with the 2 new additions, Ewan and Dan.
